Why isn't anyone so excited about Yosemite?

This week in the MacNN forums, Mac Elite "PeterParker" asks "Why isn't anyone excited about Yosemite?", to which a variety of answers ranging from "I'm ecstatic" to "Yosemite is...eh" have been provided. Dedicated MacNNer "gregfripp" is trying to fix something in his dock, but is unable to do so, and has turned to the forums looking for advice.

Some forum-goers discuss the chances of there being a Retina iMac in a thread started by one Mac Elite late last week. One Junior Member has reported that iTunes has stopped updating podcasts, one Moderator thinks he knows why. Members continue to discuss the possibility of a consumer-grade Mac Pro in a thread started earlier this week.

I'm not excited about Yosemite because it hasn't been released yet. How am I to get excited about a release I haven't seen? Truth be told, I haven't been excited by an OS release since the OS X public beta. I just adopt the new systems as they come along and continue on with my life. Seems to be working OK.

The 10.0 public beta wasn't free. Yosemite is.

I'm excited for the new features (even if some of my devices might get left in the dust) like hand-off... The excitement about the translucent finder windows, and further iOS-ification? not so much.
