Swatch denies any involvement with Apple on iWatch tech

Says it only supplies some components to mobile phone makers

Swatch has quickly denied a report that it's working with Apple on iWatch-related projects, according to Reuters. A spokeswoman for the company claims that the report is unfounded, and that the only involvement Swatch has with phone makers is supplying various components, such as integrated circuits. Apple's iWatch is expected to ship in the fall.

VentureBeat had suggested that Apple was collaborating with Swatch, and other watchmakers, to put out a range of iWatch devices that could appeal to a diversity of budgets and styles. Most reports have indicated that only Apple itself will be producing iWatches, even if the related HealthKit platform in iOS 8 will support third-party accessories.

Now this makes sense...that Apple, for the first time in its history, would relinquish control of the complete product experience is absurd.
