Briefly: DJ Player 7.2, new FontAgent Pro upgrade

updated 07:00 pm EDT, Fri July 18, 2014

DJ Player updated, adds navigation improvements, new track browser

DJ Player for iOS devices has received an update, offering redesigned, streamlined features. DJ Player aims to provide desktop-grade performance on one's mobile device, and allows users to manually beat-match and bend pitches as desired. Displaying, sorting, search and filtering one's music library can be executed with little time elapsing. DJ Player v7.2 includes a completely rewritten track browser. Its "intelligent path bar" allows for one-tap navigation between multiple playlists, and tapping on the artwork, time, comment or BPM columns can queue or "unqueue" a track.

Unified search in the Music Library, Recordings, Dropbox and Deezer is now available in v7.2 of DJ Player. Users can access a BPM editor in the track browser, and a bug regarding horizontal waveform touches has been fixed. Available for free on iTunes, users can upgrade to the pro version as a $20 in-app purchase.

FontAgent Pro 6.2 now available for Mac

Insider Software has announced the release of its newly-updated FontAgent Pro for Mac. The professional font manager delivers auto-activation plug-ins for QuarkPress 10 and Adobe Creative Cloud 2014 applications such as Photoshop, InDesign, InCopy and Illustrator.

Focused on providing features for testing, diagnosing, selecting and managing font collections, FontAgent v6.2 supports Insider's line of font server products, including TeamServer for workgroups, FontAgent Pro Enterprise Server with replication fail-over and FontAgent Pro CloudServer. Over 1,350 downloadable, verified print and web fonts are available, and its new concept-search engine finds local and Internet fonts simultaneously with any keyword or phrase query. Able to run on OS X 10.7 or later, FontAgent Pro 6.2 is priced at $50.
