Mail Designer 2 app available for introductory price of $10

Equinux has introduced a major new version of Mail Designer, an email HTML design app. Aligning itself with current mail design trends, Mail Designer 2 includes support for animated images, embedding videos directly within emails, and more. Professional-level newsletters can be created without the use of HTML coding, and the project can be easily managed by a team, with collaboration features built into the interface.

Mail Designer 2 features an integrated Button Designer, which allows for users to create vector-based sales graphics with borders, drop shadows, and colour gradients into newsletters, eliminating the need for a separate design tool. Its Quality Check tool scans an email draft for common errors before sending. Regularly priced at $30, Mail Designer 2 is currently available at a special introductory price of $10, through both Equinux and the App Store. Introductory pricing ends July 17.

Zagg announces new Rugged Folio keyboard for iPad

Zagg has announced its new wireless Bluetooth keyboard folio for the iPad line, the Zagg Rugged Folio. Comprised of a tough polycarbonate shell with a silicone interior, the folio keyboard attaches to the iPad with a magnetic hinge, and can be converted into four positions for varying purposes. The Case Mode allows users to quickly separate the iPad from the keyboard for a carrying case, and its Book Mode keeps the keyboard and case together for a hand-held reading mode. The Zagg Rugged Folio's Keyboard Mode offers protection for the keyboard and tablet when closed, and provides backlit keys and a large typing area. The Video Mode holds the iPad securely at a variety of angles suitable for viewing.

Powered by a lithium polymer battery, the folio can remain powered for up to two years of typing between charges. Available online, the Zagg Rugged Folio keyboard is priced at $140 for iPad mini and iPad mini with Retina display, and the iPad Air version is available for $150.
