Eddy Cue offers private lunch, MacBook Air in charity auction

updated 02:29 pm EDT, Mon July 14, 2014

Cash to go towards basketball foundation

Apple's Senior VP of Internet Software and Services, Eddy Cue, is participating in a new auction via Charitybuzz. The winning bid will get a 13-inch MacBook Air and the main prize, a private lunch with Cue (plus one guest) at Apple's Cupertino headquarters. Proceeds will go to the National Association of Basketball Coaches Foundation; the winner is responsible for his/her own travel expenses.

The auction ends on the afternoon of July 16, and bidding is already up to $9,500. It follows the same template as a pair of auctions by Apple CEO Tim Cook, with the notable differences of the bonus computer and the charity involved. Both of Cook's auctions donated money to the Robert F. Kennedy Center for Justice and Human Rights.
