Bronson Watermarker PDF update adds encryption, fingerprinting
The utility app Bronson Watermarker PDF has received a complete revamp, featuring a new single-window interface and additional features to help keep documents in the right place. A Mac utility for creating watermarked PDFs, the app allows users to generate any number of personally-watermarked documents. Five watermark styles are available to select from, and other layout attributes are also customizable.
Bronson Watermarker v2.01 adds support for 40-bit encryption, password protection, and localizes the app for German, Chinese and Russian. Its flattened, single-window design anticipates many of the changes due in OS X Yosemite. Priced at $20, the app requires OS X 10.9 or later to run.
CrossOver 13.2.0 released for Mac, allows installation of Windows applications
CodeWeavers has announced the release of its newest version of CrossOver for Mac users, software that facilitates running Windows applications and games on OS X or Linux OS. CrossOver v13.2.0 features stability improvements for games running with Performance Enhanced Graphics. Problems installing Adobe Acrobat have been resolved, and a bug that prevented use of non-Latin characters during user registration is now fixed.
Existing Mac customers with active support entitlements will be upgraded to CrossOver 13.2.0 upon the next time they launch the application. CrossOver for Mac is priced at $60.
