Google Search app now features fix option for voice recognition

Google Search's voice recognition has a new feature that aims to relieve the problem of misheard words. Prior to the update, users would need to restart their verbal search query if it was originally misheard by the app - now, the command "no I said" is in effect, meaning that the new search replaces just the one word that was incorrect. The update is available for both iOS and Android versions of Google Search.

CartoDB releases beta version of Odyssey.js interactive map creation tool

CartoDB, a cloud-based mapping service, has released a beta version of a new tool that allows for interactive map creation in Markdown. An open-source tool, Odyssey.js does not require that its users know how to code, and features three interface templates. Users select from "Slide," "Scrolling" and "Timeline" template options, then use a Markdown sandbox to specify what content components go where. The created map can be embedded as an iFrame, be attached to a custom URL or downloaded directly from its source. A JavaScript library is additionally included for experienced developers.
