BlackBerry Messenger commences private beta on Windows Phone store

BlackBerry has put the BlackBerry Messenger app in the Windows Phone store, though it is not available to everyone. The listing, which follows the earlier BBM launch on iOS and Android, hints at a near-future release of the messaging app on the platform, though according to CNET, the app is being tested in a private beta ahead of its launch, with only whitelisted users able to install the app from the store.

Microsoft offers $75 credit to some Xbox 360 owners for Xbox One upgrade

Microsoft is offering a number of Xbox 360 owners in the United States free credit if they upgrade to an Xbox One. A post on the NeoGAF forums shows the message, which will provide recipients with $75 of Xbox Live credit on their account, if they buy and activate a new Xbox One as the home console on the same account before the end of July. It is unclear if Microsoft is bringing the same offer to other regions in the future.
