Sunrise Calendar comes to Mac, gets unique offline mode

updated 02:05 pm EDT, Thu July 3, 2014

Syncs with other platforms

Developer Sunrise Atelier has released the first Mac version of its signature title, Sunrise Calendar. The software is functionally similar to its iOS and Android counterparts -- mixing and matching content from sources like Google, iCloud, and Facebook -- but has some platform-specific features. These include an offline mode, and native OS X notifications.

Changes made on a Mac sync with the mobile apps, and vice versa. The Mac client also carries over third-party app integration, including Evernote, Tripit, Foursquare, Asana, Github, Songkick, and Producteev. Sunrise is a free download, and requires OS X Mavericks.
