Pioneer releases update for its digital music management software
Pioneer has announced the release of an updated version of Rekordbox for OS X, its digital music management software. Rekordbox is designed for DJing, and allows users to export tracks and playlists to USB devices and the Rekordbox app. During a DJing session, performance history is automatically saved, and after a set the user can review and prepare for a future performance by adding comments and ratings to an old set.
Rekordbox v3.0 offers a new, intuitive GUI as well as adding new capabilities called My Tag and Match, which add keywords and mix information for each track to music. Its new Preview function lets users play and check music directly from a list, and up to five playlists can be played in the Playlist Palette function. Rekordbox v3.0 can be downloaded for free, and is compatible with various Pioneer digital players including the CDJ-2000NXS, CDJ-2000, CDJ-900NXS, CDJ-900, CDJ-850 and CDJ-350.
