Overhaul Reports, FamilySearch functions
Synium has released v7.2 updates for its OS X and iOS genealogy apps, MacFamilyTree and MobileFamilyTree. Both make major changes, including scrapping and rewriting the Reports section. Users can pick from a number of different preset report types, including a new Descendancy option, and display or export them in 16 languages. Custom watermarks, borders, ornaments, and font scales can be applied, and Synium has improved aspects like printing, PDF export, and narrative reports.
The two apps also sport better FamilySearch integration, including redesigned overview panes and results lists, and faster speeds when scanning for matches. More general upgrades including user interface tweaks, and better scrolling when using third-party input peripherals.
Unique to MacFamilyTree is an enhanced Interactive Tree. The view should now be speedier, easier to read, and show more generations at once. Users can also zoom in and out, making it simpler to jump to different sections.
As a promotion, Synium is currently selling the apps for 50 percent off, putting MacFamilyTree at $25 and MobileFamilyTree at $7.
