Scosche announces smartBox retractable charge and sync cable for Lightning, micro USB devices

Electronic accessories company Scosche has announced the availability of its new dual syncing cable, the smartBox. Composed of a two-in-one setup, the retractable charge and sync cable can connect to devices with Lighting or micro USB devices. The cable can extend outwards up to three feet, and its sliding adapters allows for the switch between Lighting and micro USB connectivity. Priced at $25, the Scosche smartBox is available for purchase online.

FIFA bans wearing Beat headphones from matches

Beats Audio's headphones are not to be worn by FIFA World Cup players, after soccer star Neymar was publicly spotted sporting a pair. Beats, which was purchased by Apple recently, is not a sponsor for FIFA's games - rival headphone and electronics maker Sony is. To avoid endorsement foibles, FIFA has banned all headgear from inside the stadiums.
