First smartphone using eight-core Huawei Kirin 920 leaks in images

The first device to use Huawei's first octa-core processor has leaked in photographs on the Chinese social network Weibo. Codenamed 'Mulan,' the smartphone is thought to be called either the Glory 6 or the Honor 6, and takes the form of a device with a five-inch 1080x1920-resolution display, with what appears to be some form of fingerprint sensor or extra button on the back below the camera.

The Weibo images spotted by G for Games are accompanied by a list of specifications that has been heard before. The eight-core Kirin 920 processor will be clocked at 1.3GHz per core, and will be supported by 3GB of RAM. On the back is a 13-megapixel camera with flash, along with a front-facing 5-megapixel counterpart, housed in a metal frame with a polycarbonate backing.

It is believed Huawei will launch the smartphone on June 24th, though it is unclear if the device will make its way outside of China and into neighboring markets.
