Specifications for LG G Pad range show all share same processor, resolution
LG has started shipping three G Pad tablets the company launched last month, as well as providing more detailed specifications for each of the mobile devices. The G Pad 7.0, G Pad 8.0, and G Pad 10.1 will all use the same quad-core 1.2GHz processor and have a resolution of 1280x800, regardless of the physical size of the IPS display, though some of the other internal details do differ.
The G Pad 8.0 and 10.1 both have 16GB of built-in storage, a rear 5-megapixel camera, and a front-facing 1.3MP version. The smaller G Pad 7.0 opts for 8GB of storage and a 3-megapixel rear camera, but retains the same front camera as the larger versions. The battery capacity increases in tandem with the display size, going from 4,000mAh in the G Pad 7.0 to 8,000mAh in the largest. All three have Wi-Fi connectivity, 1GB of RAM, microSD storage expansion, and will run Android overlaid with LG's minimalist UI, including the company's Knock Code and Smart Keyboard shown in the LG G3.
LG will be rolling out the G Pad 7.0 in Europe this week, though the company has not advised on pricing nor the timing for individual countries, with the G Pad 8.0 and G Pad 10.1 set to do the same over the coming weeks.
