First absence of delay in product's history
Stock configurations of the 2013 Mac Pro are now shipping in 24 hours from Apple's US online store, checks show. The reduction marks the first time since the computer launched in late December that there has been no delivery delay. The 24-hour timeline also applies to in-store pickup at physical Apple Stores.
Shortly after it debuted, delays for the Pro extended into weeks, forcing many people to wait a month or more for orders. This is believed to have been linked to a mix of manufacturing complexity and Apple underestimating demand. The cheapest Pro is $2,999, putting it out of the range of most shoppers, but within its target market demand may have been particularly intense given that the last major Pro update happened in 2010.
