MacPhun offers Creative Kit bundle, includes free copy of next app

updated 06:07 pm EDT, Tue June 10, 2014

Limited to first 500 respondents, includes Pro versions of top image apps

Image-editing software maker MacPhun is now featuring a limited-capacity bundle offer on three of its top Mac-only photo manipulation programs, along with a premium membership to the ViewBug photo contest site and a complimentary copy of its next photo-oriented app, to be released later this summer. The Creative Kit bundle, now on sale for $99, includes the Pro versions of Snapheal, Intensify and Focus Pro (normally selling for $140 if purchased together), with the ViewBug membership normally costing another $60.

The bundle price is limited to the first 500 buyers. Nothing is revealed about the forthcoming additional photo app that MacPhun plans to release, but the company says on its website that "later this summer we will launch new photography app that will be the most advanced in its category; trust us, it will be a game changer," and adds that the planned retail price for the app is $60.

MacNN recently reviewed Focus 2 and Focus Pro, and found it to be a genuinely intuitive and clever way for photographers and amateurs alike to reshape how the viewer of a photograph experiences it; either turning infinite-focus shots into better images through the use of selective clarity and bokeh, or re-directing a viewer's eye to a particular part of an image without cropping out the desired environment and atmosphere. The app also makes short work of "tilt-shift" options and other depth-of-field illusions to revitalize flat images or enhance existing optical DOF.

The company recently also released a utility for recovering "lost" photo attachments in email records, called Lost Photos, as well as added print product options, RAW support and SmugMug uploading to its Intensify and Intensify Pro programs, alongside Focus 2.
