Only 16GB Wi-Fi model qualifies
Target has dropped the price of the non-Retina iPad mini as part of a Father's Day sale. The Wi-Fi model is now currently available for $199, $100 less than usual. Shoppers must get their Mini at a Target retail store, but online orders qualify so long as a person selects in-store pickup. The cost of cellular Minis is unchanged.
The sale is due to run until the 14th, but in some cases it may already be too late, since a number of stores are reporting being out of stock. The non-Retina Mini is an older model, inferior to its Retina counterpart in terms of both its processor and display; Apple and retailers will likely phase it out by the time updated iPads ship this fall.
