Apple releases first beta version 10.9.4 of OS X Mavericks

updated 01:58 pm EDT, Wed May 28, 2014

Release available to developers, other users opting into test program

Apple has commenced testing a build of OS X 10.9.4 "Mavericks." The beta is available to both developers, and general users if they choose to join Apple's recently launched Beta Seed program. No change log or list of specific items to test in the release is currently available.

Little is known about the release, with MacNN still evaluating the changes over the recent OS X 10.9.3 release. The release is probably OS 10.9's last major point release before replacement by the next version of OS X, likely to be announced at next week's World Wide Developer's Conference.
