Librify to launch an invite-only e-book service, Target to act as retail partner

Social e-book platform Librify has announced the upcoming launch of a new membership based service. Offering access to a "book club-like" experience, e-books will be accessible via a membership subscription, or purchased individually. Members can access book club management features as well as social features that aim to help organize and promote book sharing with friends. Target's partnership is retail focused, and combines Librify's e-book offering with Target's "Club Picks", which will be elaborated upon during its unveiling at Book Expo America this week.

JBL introduces ultra-compact wireless Bluetooth speaker and speakerphone, Clip

JBL has released its newest portable speaker following its Micro Series, the Clip ultra-compact portable wireless Bluetooth speaker and speakerphone. Featuring a 1.5-inch driver with a 160 Hz to 20kHz frequency range, the Clip offers 5 hours of listening with its rechargeable battery. Aimed at users who desire a companion speaker for one's smartphone or tablet, the Clip can connect to devices with its 3.5mm cable. Priced at $50, the JBL Clip can be purchased through JBL's online store in five color options.
