Briefly: The Order: 1886 release delay, The Evil Within pushed back

updated 07:32 pm EDT, Tue May 27, 2014

Anticipated Playstation 4 alternate history shooter delayed to until 2015

The release of one of the most anticipated titles for the Playstation 4 has been delayed, according to a post on the Playstation Blog. The Order: 1886, a game which meshes Victorian-era London and Gears of War-style gameplay, was originally eyed for a fall 2014 release as a Playstation 4 exclusive title. The game is now scheduled for a release sometime in 2015.

"As we look to bring this experience to the players, we have decided to spend some extra time to deliver on the promise we made when we first introduced the game," says Ready at Dawn CEO Ru Weerasuriya. "As such, you can expect The Order: 1886 to come exclusively to the PlayStation 4 in early 2015."

Resident Evil successor from Shinji Mikami pushed back to October

Fans of Shinji Mikami and the Resident Evil franchise will have to wait a little longer for the upcoming horror game The Evil Within. Bethesda, which originally announced the game would be coming out on August 26 in North America, listed a new date for the title when it put up details on pre-order bonuses on its blog today. Release of the game will now be closer to Halloween, with a October 21 release date in North America and October 23 in Europe.

The Evil Within is set to be released on PC, Xbox One, Xbox 360, Playstation 4 and Playstation 3.
