Mujjo MacBook Sleeve proves versatile for both MacBook Air and Pro users

Last week we took a look at the new Mujjo Slim Fit iPad Air Sleeve from the Dutch company's 'Understated' collection and were impressed by the quality and craftsmanship on offer. This week we take a look at Mujjo's new 13-inch MacBook Air & Pro Retina Sleeve from its 'Low-Key' collection of fine Apple-focused accessories. Mujjo primarily uses two materials in its products, high-quality leather and felt. While the Slim Fit iPad Air Sleeve is made completely from vegetable-tanned leather, the MacBook Sleeve uses a mix of leather and felt in its construction providing both durability and a touch of class.

As you can tell by its full name, the Mujjo MacBook Sleeve can accommodate either a 13-inch MacBook Air or a 13-inch MacBook Pro with Retina display, making it a versatile choice. At various times I've owned either a 13-inch MacBook Air or a 13-inch MacBook Pro and can be somewhat painful having to buy a case for each model. Having one protective sleeve that will work for either model takes that potential headache out of the equation. Even better, the Mujjo MacBook Sleeve also features a second pocket where you can not only store documents, but has sufficient room to comfortably accommodate an iPad Air as well. The flexibility doesn't end there; Mujjo has also thoughtfully included a small pocket that can hold a couple of credit cards or business cards, as well as a small slot for holding SD cards.

As mentioned earlier, the Mujjo chooses to use two types of textiles in its products. The Mujjo MacBook Sleeve sports tasteful combination of leather and felt. The flap is made from the company's signature full-grain vegetable-tanned leather that is waxed and treated with aniline oil to give a deeper and richer color. As it wears with use, it will pick up a lovely patina and polish look that is the hallmark of high-quality leather finishes. The unfinished edges provide an attractive contrast that helps to emphasize the natural and raw quality of the materials that Mujjo uses. As with the Mujjo Slim Fit iPad Air Sleeve, I had more than one person ask about the Mujjo MacBook Sleeve when I took it into meetings over the past week.

Mujjo uses renewable felt in its products and this is particularly apparent in the MacBook Sleeve. Not only does it look great in this application, it is also surprisingly rugged as well as water resistant. Although Apple's aluminum MacBook products use a resilient annodized aluminum finish, the last thing most people want is to accidentally scratch them against a harsh surface or fear for its safety in minor drops. The Mujjo sleeve is made from a particularly thick felt that will ensure your investment is well-protected from bumps and small drops. Its reinforced stitching is extra tough as well that also creates a protective bumper between your MacBook and the environment.

The Mujjo 13-inch MacBook Air & Pro Retina sleeve is another gorgeously crafted product from the Dutch accessory maker, and one that we have no hesitation in recommending. It combines beautiful natural materials, classy design and robust quality into a premium product that has particular appeal for Apple's more discerning customers. It is available through Mujjo's online store for around $69 plus shipping.
