Giveaway: Prong PWR Case

updated 06:25 pm EDT, Thu May 15, 2014

Win a Prong PWR Case

Anyone with an iPhone (or any smart phone) can agree that running out of power while on the go can be quite a nuisance. Lugging around a charger everywhere is impractical, and even a person with the best intentions to bring one can forget. Jesse Pliner and Lloyd Gladstone, co-founders of consumer electronics company Prong, came up with a solution to this dilemma -- and after a successful Kickstarter campaign, this new idea was born. It is called the Prong PWR Case for the iPhone 5/5s, and MacNN has one to give away to our readers before it is available in stores.

This durable polycarbonate case for the iPhone 5/5s is quite unlike any other case we have seen before. It features a battery to extend the life of an iPhone, and integrated charging prongs so it can be plugged directly into an outlet when it is running low. Also, it has a micro USB port in the event a wall plug is not available but a USB port is, and LED charge indicator to see the remaining charge. This case is currently available for pre-order from Prong for $65 in pink, black, white or blue. In August, shipments will be arriving in BestBuy stores, and the Prong will carry a retail price of $80.

The winner of this giveaway will receive their prize right around the same time chargers are shipped to BestBuy locations in August. To enter, click here, agree to our terms and conditions, and answer one skill-testing question. Mailing list signup is required to be selected; if you have already signed up for a mailing list, please place a check in the box next to the list you have signed up for. The giveaway is open to US residents only, and closes on May 29.
