2013 Mac Pro shipping times drop to 1-2 weeks in Europe

updated 10:46 am EDT, Thu May 15, 2014

US, other regions still at 2-3 weeks

Apple's official shipping times for the 2013 Mac Pro have shrunk to one to two weeks in several European nations including the UK, France, Spain, and Germany, checks show. Other online storefronts -- including the US -- are still showing times in the two- to three-week range. If historical trends persist, times in the US should improve in short order.

The latest Pro has been in extremely short supply since it launched in December, with shipping delays often extending out to a month or more. Apple appears to be finally catching up with demand, although several factors could be at play. The company could be accelerating production, and/or it may have streamlined manufacturing at its facility in Austin, Texas. Alternately, demand for the Pro may simply be tailing off, since it's Apple's most expensive product and aimed at professionals, not the general public.
