Rear 4MP UltraPixel camera from HTC One M8 exchanged for normal sensor in mini 2

Following the launch of the HTC One M8, HTC has launched another miniature version of its flagship smartphone. The HTC One mini 2 shares the design of the full-scale counterpart, just as rumored earlier, but as its name suggests, it exchanges the 5-inch 1080p display for a smaller 4.5-inch 720x1280-resolution version, and just like the first HTC One mini, the internal specifications have also seen some changes.

Inside is a quad-core 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor with 1GB of RAM and 16GB of storage with microSD card expansion. On the back is a normal 13-megapixel BSI sensor, instead of the M8's 4-megapixel UltraPixel camera, while the front has a 5-megapixel wide-angle camera with BoomSound speakers. Running on Android 4.4 with the company's Sense 6 overlay, the device offers HTC BlinkFeed and Zoe Highlight videos, with power derived from a 2,100mAh battery.

HTC has yet to reveal pricing for the HTC One mini 2, but it will be shipping in Europe and Asia this June in a choice of Gunmetal Gray, Glacial Silver, and Amber Gold.
