updated 01:55 pm EDT, Thu May 15, 2014

New version brings overall performance and stability improvements

Alongside of Apple's update of OS X Mavericks to 10.9.3, Apple also updated media player and manager iTunes to version 11.2. In addition to the normal improvements to overall performance and stability, the new version fixes some problems with Genius, and modifies the application's podcast management features.

The update touts improvements in podcast browsing, including quick locating of episodes that have not been listened to in an "unplayed" tab. Other fixes include resolution of an issue where iTunes may become unresponsive when updating Genius.

The new version is available now from Software Update in OS X and Windows.

Many thanks to Apple for fixing just what bugged me about iTunes podcasting. An excellent upgrade!
