Dual band range extender uses wall plug, extends range of signal up to 30 meters

Diamond Multimedia has released a new product in its wireless range extender line. The dual-band WR600NSI, which plugs directly into a wall socket, acts as a wireless repeater, range extender and wireless bridge device with 802.11n technology. The WR600NSI supports 300 Mbps over both 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands. The wireless range extender can also take wireless signal and convert it to a wired Ethernet connection.

The device also comes with multiple-input and multiple-output (MIMO), 2T2R for 802.11b/g/n on the 2.4GHz band, and 2T2R 802.11a/n on the 5GHz band. It is designed with receive signal strength indicators (RSSI) to determine optimal placement. The company says its signal can be extended by up to a possible 30 meters.

The WR600NSI is priced at $60, and is available now through Diamond.

Far Cry 4 turns away from the jungle to give players a new, open experience

Ubisoft announced today that it would release the next installment of the Far Cry franchise on November 18 in the US and on November 20 in other territories. Far Cry 4, which takes place in the untamed region of Kyrat, will launch on the PC, Xbox One, Xbox 360, Playstation 4 and Playstation 4. The scenery has taken a change, going from the jungle in Far Cry 3 to the mountains in the next title.

Development of Far Cry 4 is being handled by Ubisoft Montreal, with help from three other Ubisoft studios and Red Storm Entertainment.
