Square removes its Wallet payment app from App Store, introduces Square Order

Square has removed its mobile payment app, Square Wallet, from the App Store this week, as it introduces Square Order. Comparable to Pickup, Square Order allows users to place orders and pre-pay from one's smartphone before arriving at a deli or coffee shop, so as to not need to wait in line. Square Order is aimed at local businesses, and is currently limited to San Francisco and New York City.

Hyper announces launch of made-for-iPhone, iPad USB flash drive with Lightning connector

After recently receiving approval from Apple, Hyper has announced the launch of its made-for-iPhone, iPad and iPod touch flash drive with built-in Lightning connector, the iStick. The USB flash drive includes a standard USB connector alongside the Lightning connector, which will come in 8GB, 16GB, 32GB and 64GB variants. Its companion app will allow for transferring content from one device to another, and while connected, streaming video and music can be done directly without requiring copying files over. Pre-ordering is available through Hyper's Kickstarter campaign, with pricing beginning at $130.
