AT&T to offer in-flight 4G LTE connection, creates partnership with Honeywell

AT&T has announced that it aims to launch an in-flight Wi-Fi service for its customers flying within the continental US, via a new 4G LTE-based connection. Partnering with Honeywell to create the in-flight system, AT&T has stated that its goal is to generate a faster connection than what is currently available, which would then position AT&T as a rival provider to the pre-existing GoGo. The in-flight Wi-Fi is anticipated to be rolled out by late 2015.
