Wi-Fi editions of Galaxy Tab 4 precede summer launch of LTE versions

Samsung will be bringing the latest incarnation of its Galaxy Tab range of tablets to the United States next month. The Wi-Fi versions of the Galaxy Tab 4 collection, including 7-inch, 8-inch, and 10.1-inch variants, have been opened up for pre-order through Samsung and other retailers, with the tablets set to start shipping to customers from May 1st onwards.

The Galaxy Tab 4 10.1 has a 1280x800 display backed by a 1.2GHz quad-core processor running Android 4.4, 1.5GB of RAM, and 16GB of expandable storage. On the back is a 3-megapixel camera with a front-facing 1.3-megapixel counterpart, Wi-Fi Direct, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, and a 6,800mAh battery. Both the Galaxy Tab 8.0 and 7.0 have the same resolution display, processor, RAM, operating system, and functions as the larger version, but ship with smaller sizes, with the 8.0 having a 4,450mAh battery, and the 7.0 using a 4,000mAh version and an extra 8GB storage option.
