Facebook Messenger for iOS adds in-message video

Facebook's messaging app for iOS users has received an update, adding more ways to communicate with friends. Facebook Messenger v5.0 now includes the ability to send videos from a phone's camera roll; if sent a video, users can play it within the app. Also now supported is in-conversation photo sharing, improved search and shortcut access to stickers and bus fixes. Facebook Messenger is free to download through iTunes.

Plum Amazing releases X-Mirage mirroring app for iOS

Plum Amazing has announced the availability of X-Mirage, an app that offers the ability to display multiple iOS devices on a Mac and record screen activity. Users can download and open the X-Mirage app on their Mac, and set the AirPlay on their iPhone or iPad to mirror the screen of the iOS device on the Mac. Audio and/or video can be recorded while using any app, making X-Mirage ideal for an educational setting, tutorial creation or streaming game play. X-Mirage features 1080p full-HD mirroring, multiple display support, projector streaming capabilities, no requirement for jailbreaking, and more. X-Mirage is priced at $16, with a free seven-day trial available.
