eBay updates apps for iPhone and iPad, featuring in-store pick-up option
Today, eBay announced updated apps for iPhone and iPad, adding improvements to its buying and selling features. Allowing eBay users to access the online marketplace to buy or sell items, v3.3 for iPhone and iPad features increased app speeds -- and for iPad only, a new in-store pick-up option for local purchases is included. Also available is new Passbook support that enables quick access to key information like store location, directions, hours and order number. For iPhone, the app now includes a personalized feed preview, displaying items based on a user's interests.
Additionally, re-listing and pricing items have been simplified, and reviews for catalog items are now available in the update. Selling support is now available for Austria and the Netherlands, and Brazilian Portuguese has been added. The eBay app is free to download.
Etsy launches app for sellers on iOS
Artisinal marketplace service Etsy has released a new app on iOS geared towards users who are sellers on the site. Entitled Sell on Etsy, the app facilitates managing a seller's account by displaying one's shop's activity feed, which includes purchases, feedback and favorites. Listings can be created, edited and published through the app, and open orders can be accessed. Notifications for a sale or a received customer review are also included. Sell on Etsy is free to download through iTunes.
