Ergonis Software releases Typinator 5.9, preps for launch of version 6

Productivity software developer Ergonis has announced the release of Typinator 5.9, a maintenance update for its text expander. Released prior to the launch of the next major version 6, Typinator v5.9 incorporates several minor bug fixes, and improves compatibility with third-party applications, such as Aperture, MacGiro, Mellel and more. Requiring OS X 10.5.8 or later, Typinator 5.9 is a free upgrade for anyone who owns a valid license for Typinator 5, and costs $35.50 for new customers.

PDFpen 6.2 released, offers plain and rich text exporting

Smile has released PDFpen 6.2, an update for its PDF editing tool for OS X. Compatible for iPad and iPhone versions, version 6.2 adds support for exporting plain text, exporting rich text, and creating PDFs from dragged thumbnails. Additional improvements and fixes are also included. PDFpen is priced at $60, with a Pro version available for $100. Family Pack licenses are also available. Upgrades from earlier single user versions are $30, and free to users who purchased on or after October 15, 2012.
