Canonical releases Ubuntu 14.04 for desktops and servers, update for phone and tablets

Canonical has released its latest Long Term Support version of Ubuntu for desktops and servers. Ubuntu 14.04 LTS includes an update to its phone version as well as for tablets. Stated in a press release from by the company, the most recent Ubuntu version will "form the basis of the first commercially available Ubuntu tablets from Canonical OEM partners."

The 1.0 release offers basic tablet functionality, and includes Scopes, Applications, and Side Stage. Though no specific tablet devices have yet been announced, those interested can install the tablet code on a Nexus 10 and the 2013 version of Nexus 7 tablets.

Notegraphy now available for Android devices

Note creation and sharing app Notegraphy is now available on Android devices. Previously available for iOS and Web, Notegraphy offers a variety of different templates for creating and editing notes, featuring color variations and various style choices to select. Commonly-shared notes consist of quotes from artistic works or famous individuals, which can be shared amongst the Notegraphy community as well as on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. Notegraphy for Android is available for download on Google Play.
