High-resolution Toshiba notebook has Adobe Lightroom 5 pre-installed

Toshiba will be shipping its notebook with a 4K-resolution display in the United States starting from next week, the company has revealed. Going under the Satellite P55t name instead of the P50t it was initially unveiled as at CES, it will be available from April 22nd, and will offer a native resolution of 3,840x2,160 on its 15.6-inch TruBrite touchscreen display.

Calibrated by Chroma Tune and Technicolor Certified during production for an accurate color gamut on the 282 PPI IPS screen, the P55t will ship with Chroma Tune for Toshiba installed for individual user profiles for specific applications. Adobe Lightroom 5 will also be pre-installed.

Inside the P55t will be a Haswell-based quad-core Intel Core i7 processor, up to 16GB of RAM, a 1TB hard drive with a 3D impact sensor, and an AMD Radeon R9 M265X graphics card with 2GB of GDDR5 video memory. It will also have four USB 3.0 ports, LED-backlit keyboard, a UHS-II SD card slot, Wi-Fi, Harman Kardon speakers with DTS audio processing, a HDMI port capable of a 4K output, and a Blu-ray rewritable drive.

Shipping from Toshiba directly, the Satellite P55t with the 4K display will start from $1,500.
