Deus Ex: Human Revolution - Director's Cut released for OS X
Feral Interactive has announced today that Deus Ex: Human Revolution -- Director's Cut has been released for OS X, available exclusively through Steam. A player performs as an ex-SWAT specialist who has been hired to oversee the security of an experimental biotechnology firm. Adam Jensen discovers there is more to the company than previously thought when a black ops team breaks in and kills scientists.
The Director's Cut version includes overhauled boss fights, improved enemy AI, and upgraded textures, lighting, fog and shadows. Also featured is an in-game developer commentary and a 45-minute "Making of" documentary. Deus Ex: Human Revolution -- Director's Cut is priced at $20, and can be downloaded through Steam with a registered account.
Grovemade debuts MacBook and iPad walnut backs, and limited edition brass iPhone docks
Wooden tech designer Grovemade has introduced new accessories for MacBook, iPad and iPhone. The new brass iPhone dock utilizes a combination of black Oregon walnut and solid brass for a heavy base, allowing the dock to stay in place while plugging and unplugging the phone. A hidden channel tdirects ringtones and other audio to pass through the front of the dock. Milled, hand-sanded and rubbed with natural oils, 175 units have been produced and individually numbered.
Grovemade's MacBook and iPad Walnut backs are compatible with the 13-inch MacBook Air, 13-inch and 15-inch MacBook Pro, iPad Air, iPad mini and iPad mini with Retina display. Featuring a natural walnut veneer, the backs attach to the devices with a 3M-made adhesive that does not leave a permanent reside when removed. The new MacBook and iPad walnut backs are priced at $40.
