Kinivo launches BTE40 Bluetooth Receiver and headset

Kinivo has announced the launch of its new Bluetooth receiver and wireless low-profile headset, the BTE40. Its audio receiver features multi-point Bluetooth support, allowing for simultaneous connection to up to two devices for wireless streaming, even while switching between sources. Its headphones, which connect to the BTE40's receiver, doubles as a remote control for mobile devices.

Kinivo's receiver can translate the wireless streaming capabilities of a Bluetooth connection to wired audio devices. Additional functionalities include a battery meter that is compatible with iOS devices, and direct control buttons, such as volume, pause, play, skip and replay. The BTE40 is now available for $30 through Amazon.



MediaFire's desktop apps out of beta, file size restrictions removed

Online file storage and image hosting site, MediaFire, has announced that its desktop apps for Windows and OS X are now out of beta. The beta version launched last November.

MediaFire's desktop apps offer prompt uploading of images and facilitates instant content sharing with other users. The latest release now allows users to follow files and track new files shared by users automatically. File upload restrictions have been lifted, and both free and paid users can now upload files up to 20GB in size. New 1TB storage plans currently cost $2.50 per month or $25 annually. Native apps for iPad and Android devices are due to launch within the next few weeks.
