Google's new Night Walk offers immersive tour through Cours Julien neighbourhood in France

Google's Street View has been taken to a new level with its release of Google Night Walk, an audio-based tour through a French neighbourhood. Leading those accessing the tour though Cours Julien, a neighbourhood of Marseille, France, narrators Julie and Christophe lead users across the city, highlighting locations of note. A mini-map displays one's progress though the city, and certain hotspots initiate YouTube clips, Wikipedia segments and photo galleries, and more.

Android add-on allows for Chromecast multi-tasking

Chromecast is now more flexible to use with the new Android add-on, Autocast. Allowing users to send a wide range of content to the media stick, the content's layout can be chosen for multiple things at once, accompanied by notifications while watching the video, or play music while watching browsing video. Additionally, users can create custom home screens, and multiple users can share control over a single Chromecast app, such as image editor. Available through Google Play, Autocast is free to download, requiring Chromecast to function effectively.
