MacHeist launches Apple Design Award Bundle

updated 10:00 am EDT, Thu April 3, 2014

Includes over $1,700 worth of apps

MacHeist is offering a new software deal, the Apple Design Award Bundle. As the name implies it gathers together some past winners of the Apple Design Awards at a cheaper cost, specifically just $20. The titles in the bundle are normally worth $1,776 when bought separately.

Perhaps the most high-profile app is BoinxTV, a $499 video production suite intended for recording events like podcasts and seminars. Other programs in the bundle include MacJournal, Toon Boom Studio 8, AccountEdge Pro, iSale, Picturesque, Starry Night Pro, and Xojo Desktop. Xojo -- a simplified app development platform -- will only be unlocked once 10,000 bundles are sold, after which MacHeist is planning to reveal yet another title.

10 percent of each purchase will go to a buyer's charity of choice, from a list including the likes of the American Red Cross and the Global Fund for Women. Alternately, people can choose to split donations equally.
