Red Giant's BulletProof updated, adds more camera support
Red Giant has announced an update for its footage back-up and preparation tool software, BulletProof. Previously only supporting Canon and Nikon DSLRs and GoPro cameras, BulletProof v1.2 offers support for Panasonic and Sony DSLRs, as well as for the Canon C-Series and XF-series cameras.
Featuring automated back-up and verification tools, BulletProof creates copies of a shooter's footage and verifies them to ensure a perfect duplication. While footage is being backed up, the shooter can use BulletProof's GPU-accelerated playback tools to review footage and ensure that required footage has been captured. An "Add Mode" feature is now included, which offers a reference mode that speeds up the import process by cataloging media that has already been copied to disk. BulletProof v1.2 is soon available in beta, with its release anticipated for $200 in the second quarter of 2014. Existing users of BulletProof can receive the update for free.
