New 1080p monitors from Samsung shipping in April

Samsung has revealed a trio of monitor models it will be bringing out in the coming weeks in the United States and other markets. The 1920x1080-resolution SD390 and SD590, each available in two different sizes, are accompanied by the premium UD590, a 28-inch monitor that includes support for 1 billion colors and can display an image at a resolution of 3,840x2,160.

Aside from the 4K-resolution and billion-color support, the UD590 offers a 1-millisecond response time, and viewing angles of up to 170 degrees. Two HDMI ports and a Display Port on the back allows it to use Samsung's "Picture in Picture 2.0," letting users see a secondary window at Full HD or a lower resolution, and can be used to view two computers at the same time side by side.

The SD590 and SD390 are relatively similar, with both models using the same 1080p resolution, 23.6-inch and 27-inch display options, 178-degree viewing angles, HDMI inputs, and a 5ms refresh rate. The SD390 opts for a simple stand and one HDMI input, while the SD590 uses two HDMI ports and has a space-saving T-shape stand.
