OWC introduces 128GB memory upgrade kit for latest Mac Pro, doubles RAM vers

Other World Computing announced the expansion of its MaxRAM Certified Upgrades to include up to 128GB memory upgrade kits for the Apple Mac Pro 2013 six-core, eight-core, 12-core models. Offering both OWC 32GB modules and matched kits up to 128GB, pricing per module starts at $600. The new 128GB upgrade kit is priced at $2,130.

Cross-platform app development LiveCode 6.6 released

RunRev today announced the latest release of its cross-platform app development environment, LiveCode 6.6. The release completes the achievement of its promised stretch goal of "Resolution independence" from its successful Kickstarter campaign. Bringing automatic scaling and handling of Retina screens to the desktop platforms, the environments are now in line with existing iOS and Android support. Open SSL and encryption support have been added for the mobile platforms, and feature parity on all six supported platforms is offered. LiveCode 6.6 also features stack scaling, high-DPI support for Windows and Mac screens, a new Show All Fullscreen mode, SQLite updates and improvements, and more.
