Samsung and SK Telcom pair for new cellular-equipped Samsung Gear 2

According to GSM Arena, Korean media is reporting on a SK Telcom and Samsung partnership. The pair are allegedly working on a version of the Samsung Gear 2 that would contain its own SIM chip and cellular radio, allowing it to operate completely independently of a paired mobile phone. Few details of the device are available, but the combination device would likely be aimed at the Korean market, at least to start.

So Comcast can add just about anything they want and Apple has to (probably) beg to get these same stations onto AppleTV. I wonder if Comcast has been threatening dropping them from its cable lineup if they sign with Apple. Time for a congressional investigation. :-)
