Doubles normal upgrade options
Memory maker Transcend has announced a new set of RAM upgrades for the 2013 Mac Pro. These include 16 and 32GB modules, which can be used to boost a Pro up to 64, 96, or even 128GB of RAM. 128GB is twice what Apple's build-to-order options allow.
One downside is that that the 32GB modules Transcend uses are rated at 1,333MHz, slower than its 1,866MHz 16GB modules. The company has also yet to reveal pricing, but promises the modules will be easy to install and come with limited lifetime warranties.
