Upgraded Chromebooks offer Exynos 5 Octa processor, 4GB RAM
Samsung has updated its line of Chromebook devices with a pair of two differently-sized models. The 11.6-inch and 13.3-inch versions of the Chromebook 2 series both offer a similar, textured fake leather lid and stitching motif to that of some Samsung smartphones, with both Chrome OS notebooks said to offer a one-second wake-up and cold booting in under ten seconds.
Both devices offer a Samsung Exynos 5 Octa processor, clocked at 1.9GHz and 2.1GHz for the 11.6-inch and 13.3-inch models respectively. The two also have 4GB of RAM, 16GB of SSD storage, a 720p webcam, HDMI, one USB 3.0 and one USB 2.0 port, a microSD card reader, and headphone and microphone ports.
