Sequel to Avadon: The Black Fortress now available for iPad
Spiderweb Software's sequel to its award-winning role-play game, Avadon: The Black Fortress has been released for iPad. Avadon 2: The Corruption is the second chapter of the Avadon trilogy, and offers the choice between five different types of characters for exploring the game's large world. Gamers are charged with the goal of protecting their homeland of Avadon from foes of the "Pact" of warriors, mages, spies and assassins who have trained in the Black Fortress. The game is available through Steamfor Windows and OS X users, and can be purchased for iPad from the App Store for $10.
Hipstamatic's Oggl photo sharing app adds notification ticker, SurfMode
Hipstamatic's photo-sharing app Oggl has received an update, offering new features for image viewing and social sharing. Its new SurfMode feature enables users to view a slideshow of images by turning their device sideways into landscape orientation. SurfMode on AirPlay facilitates viewing the slideshow via Apple TV over a Wi-Fi connection, ideal for group viewing. The app's newly-added notification ticker provides social information regarding how many "loves" a user has, as well as repost stats and curations one's photos get, and information from connected accounts such as Instagram Facebook, Flickr and more. Available on the App Store, Oggl v2.1.0 is free to download and is available by subscription starting at $3 per month.
