First Mac Pro-oriented update since December
Apple has posted a new download for owners of the 2013 Mac Pro, SMC Firmware Update 2.0. The patch lets a computer enter Power Nap without turning on the fan for "most" Power Nap activities, according to Apple. It also solves a problem with low-speed USB devices not being detected at boot.
The release is available via Apple's support pages or the Mac App Store. It's Apple's second software update for the 2013 Pro, the first having been pushed out in mid-December, before anyone had their hands on the machine.
