Swedish Apple TV users get access to TV4

updated 01:21 pm EST, Tue February 25, 2014

Recent episodes available for up to seven days for most users

Swedish Apple TV users have gained access to TV4 content through a new app, TV4 Play, according to an announcement by the TV network. Play lets people watch show episodes up to seven days after their original broadcast. TV4 Play Premium subscribers, though, have access to both recent and archive episodes.

Other app features include a play queue, and auto-resume when going back to a partially-viewed episode. Some TV4 shows will be available in HD only through the Apple TV. What HD content there is is relatively limited, but the network says it expects to increase the amount "over the coming months."

Just yesterday, Apple added the WWE Network to the Apple TV.

European localised apps? Hopefully a sign that BBC iPlayer might appear in the UK. I can but hope...
