"Epic" security flaw

Recent news of a security flaw in iOS and OS X Mavericks that has compromised Wi-Fi VPN (now patched in a new system update) has sparked a discussion about the problem in the MacNN forums this week. Today, Moderator "Thorzdad" took to the forums after trying to install the iOS update to fix the above mentioned security flaw, and saw that it was going to take six hours. Wondering if this was normal, he started the thread titled "iOS-7 a six-hour download?"

Yesterday, Forum Regular "JohnCoffee" was wondering if there was a terminal command that could be used to increase CPU load. Forum members continue to try to help Mac Enthusiast "tpicco" figure out if he has been hacked, or if he might simply need a new router. Forum members continue to wonder what the future holds for Mac hardware.
