Support scheme provides display repair, Google Drive storage
HTC is upgrading the level of support it provides customers in the United States, in its new HTC Advantage program. The improvements, teased on Valentine's day, include a commitment to offering the major Android updates for two years from the launch date of the device, as well as a free replacement display in the event the customer cracks the screen in the first six months of ownership.
Covering the HTC One, One mini, and One max for devices bought from today onwards, customers will be able to contact the manufacturer to organize either a free repair, taking between 8 and 10 business days to complete, or for an overnight exchange of the device as a $29 extra. HTC also touts cloud synchronization of settings for quick retrieval of back-ups, phone or live-chat guidance for support issues, and between 25GB and 50GB of Google Drive storage for two years.

While it is only available in the US, there is a chance it will spread to other markets in the future. Senior global online communications manager Jeff Gordon told Pocket-Lint "for regions outside of the US, we view HTC Advantage as a pilot program giving the opportunity to learn what offers customers may desire for HTC to bring to other markets."
