Rap Genius releases iPhone app, featuring song identification
Lyrical interpretation database site, Rap Genius, released its new app for iOS this week, Genius. Providing access to annotated lyrics for over one million songs, Genius features explanations to unclear lines, defines uncommon terms, and provides context for how songs fit into the broader scope of an artist's work. Users can find out the lyrics for a song that is playing in the vicinity, similar to the capabilities found in music recognition apps such as Shazam. Genius provides lyrics for all the songs in one's iTunes library, presented in the app's My Music section.
Available through iTunes, Genius is a free app, and requires iOS 7 or later.
